Total exports of textiles declined significantly in first quarter
General administration of Customs statistics show that in the first quarter, China's total exports of textile clothing 56.641 billion U.S. dollars, down 5.2%. Among them, textile exports of 23.45 billion U.S. dollars, fell 2.2% year-on-year, clothing exports 33.18 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decline of 7.3%. Year-on-year, January, February and March were down 15.68%, 27.76% and 34.07% respectively over the same period last year. In the chain, the total exports reached the highest level in January, US $24.131 billion, the lowest in February, and US $15.658 billion in March, with exports of $16.852 billion at the center.
Export situation remains grim in the second quarter
What changes will be made in China's textile and clothing exports in the second quarter? In this regard, Xu Xiaomio that "two quarters, China's textile and clothing export changes may still be negative or stable, there is a small possibility of positive growth." Although the recent textile home textiles, industrial domestic consumption will improve with the construction industry, real estate industry, but in the external needs, medium and long term textile clothing exports still face domestic labor costs high, product visibility and value-added double low resistance, in the short term the export situation improved slowly.
